PlayFirst at MacWorld – Day 2

It's nearing the end of Day 2 at MacWorld where we've got a booth set-up with all our games for you to play. We met a lot of people today, from people completely new to Diner Dash, to total fans.

Two such fans were mom and daughter, Cheryl and Alexis, who own all the Dash games and play on both their computers and iPhone. It was so great meeting them!

MacWorld Dash Fans

If you're at MacWorld, please do stop by and say hi. We're located in the Mobile Apps Showcase. We love meeting fans and hearing their thoughts about our games. One gentleman even came up to us and said, "You've gotten me in so much trouble." Sorry, sir, but our games can be addictive!

Take Your Teddy Bear to Work Day

Happy Take your Teddy Bear to work day!

One of our fans, @Nascar_Airwolf, had her teddy assist her with some important decision-making:

Oct. 11 - Take your teddy bear to work day (@Nascar_Airwolf)

She said that he considered different games but decided on playing Wedding Dash. Great job, teddy!

Don't have a teddy of your own? Try making your own virtual ones in Teddy Factory, a cuddly time management game.

Did you bring your teddy bear to work today? Did you even know such a cute holiday existed?

One of the cool features we noted was SIRI, which lets you talk to your phone like a real assistant. It's not only super cool but useful - we could see it being handy when we're driving, for example.

If you're getting your own iPhone 4S, don't forget to fill your phone with some fun games like Diner Dash! What other must have apps would you get?

Flo’s Diner – as a cake!

In celebration of the launch of Diner Dash on Facebook, a family member of one of our employees whipped up this cake replica of Flo's Diner. We took a couple pictures before digging in:

PlayFirst babies

It's baby and puppy overload in the sequel, Avenue Flo: Special Delivery. Mr. Big’s daughter, Vicky, is having a baby and Mr. Big wants her to have the perfect baby shower. We too had some firsthand experience throwing surprise baby showers at PlayFirst (there was one just last week!), and since then we’ve welcomed new members to our family. Say hello to some of our PlayFirst babies and their mommies!

I played with toys in the 80s.

All this talk about bringing Flo back to the 80s in Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills made me think about what it was like for me back then.

I was born in 1980. I was never much one for pop culture. I've always kind of tended to be a little behind the times, even these days, but as a kid, I was all about the things that are, oddly, coming back into fashion now as 'retro'.

When people asked me what I played with as a child, that answer is always My Little Ponies. I absolutely adored these things. While my sister was all about the fashionable Barbies, with their bright pink legwarmers and big hair, I was trying to figure out which pony was who's sister (Since they were all girls) based on hair color, fur color, and eye color. Genetics was so much easier back then! Continue reading...

Corax_Vox on ghosts

It’s kind of a funny topic for September, but, this is the month where traditionally, summer winds down, and fall kicks its way up into full swing. There’s a chill to the air, the leaves begin to turn colors, and a young person’s thoughts turn to that... of the dead.

Okay, maybe it’s just me, but feeling summer slide into the chilly grip of winter brings thoughts of apple orchards, sweaters fresh from the attic, and Halloween. Continue reading...
