Garden Dash tips and tricks

Prioritize the Plants
First thing's first: satisfying the right goal. In Garden Dash, the most important objective is to keep your plants happy. That's right, it's the plants that reign supreme in this game, not the customers ordering them. Of course, you still need to fill in customer orders before time runs out, but you can't do that if your plants won't grow!

Keep them satisfied by watering, pruning, and tending to any special needs quickly and efficiently. Use some of the other tips below to make it happen and get expert!

Collect Relax tokens
Relax tokens don't seem like much at first, but once you learn how to use them, they can be extremely handy. Earn them each time you harvest, but make sure to pick them up or they'll disappear into the ether.

Once you fill your relax meter using the tokens, plan out a series of events. As soon as you activate the relax meter, click through those events to queue them without using any time on the clock. Remember, time is important if you want to get expert!

In addition, activating the relax meter adds more time to your clock AND maxes out the hearts of all the plants you're tending to. Talk about going into zen mode!

Color Match
A staple strategy in any Dash game, color matching earns you bonus time. Color match seed bags with planter boxes to earn those extra seconds.

Note that you don't necessarily have to fill the very next customer's order -- harvesting will fill the order of any customer in line, so take advantage of that. Plant a bunch of red seeds, fill all orders that appear red, then plant a bunch of another color and fill orders of that color, and so on!

Chain, chain, chain
Another tried and true strategy of Dash games is called chaining, that is, doing the same tasks consecutively. Like color matching, chaining can earn you a lot of bonus time, so direct Barb to chain whenever possible.

Tasks that can be chained (but can't be mixed and matched) are:

• Potting soil
• Watering plants
• Pruning leaves
• Special care (earphones for roses, scarves for peaches, etc)
• Harvesting plants
• Delivering harvest to Customers

Use upgrades wisely
Make the most of upgrade time and rearrange your planter boxes. Group boxes together in meaningful ways (for instance, 1-plant boxes together versus 3-plant boxes) and arrange them for easy access.

Our favorite upgrade is the fertilizer upgrade. Purchase it ASAP! It saves so much time when you fill your pots up with soil.

Another trick for the birdhouse upgrade: fill the birdhouse with birdseed first before you try to use it. You can't attract birds to cheer up your plants without some food for them to eat!
