Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills tips and tricks
Cooking Dash 3: Thrills and Spills is now available for $6.99! Play as Flo and turn Mr. Big's failing theme park into a smashing success.
Having trouble getting past a tough level or scoring expert? The game designer, The Dash King, has graciously blessed us with some of his top tips and tricks.
Chain
If you’ve played Dash games before, you’ll know that the number one tip for scoring high is chaining.
Seat waves of customers at one time so you can chain your succeeding actions. Don’t seat customers in the same way they enter the restaurant. Seat the more impatient people first.
Be careful not to break chains! For example, Don’t collect money from a customer, then immediately collect the dirty dishes. Collect all the money from all the customers, THEN collect all the dirty dishes.
Expert tip: Collecting money is the #1 chain activity in terms of points. Cooked food orders give more money than just snacks or drinks, so try to end your chains on people who ordered cooked food!
Color-match
Match customers to same colored seats for extra points and try to keep at least 2 seats color-matched the entire level. Note that color-matching caps at x4.
Expert tip: Bill Bucks (the mascot) is always green, so green tends to be a good choice once he’s introduced in the game
Cook Smart
Get in the habit of preparing your food beforehand whenever possible. For example, before you begin your shift, fill all your soda glasses and get Grandma cooking.
Perfect cooking is when you flip, season, and/or grab the food within the ideal time. Get perfect cooking for extra points per dish AND a heart boost for your customers. Perfect cooking is very valuable if you don’t have the coffee upgrade.
Perfect cooking tip: Make sure to buy the deluxe stoves (the second stove upgrade) and “always fresh” containers for Grandma
Do not lose customers
For each customer you lose, you get -200 points, plus you’ll also lose out on all the points you might have gotten from serving them.
Get the Right Upgrade
Which upgrades to buy often depends on your playing style, but there are a few notable upgrades you absolutely must get:
Tossing plates is critical and should always be your first upgrade! There’s never a situation where it shouldn’t be your first choice because it saves the time you spend walking to the garbage and is also the pre-requisite for the Flo Boost.
Other useful upgrades are the Flo Boost, which makes Flo walk faster, and extra prep tables For Grandma.
In later levels, the music station (don’t forget the upgraded version!) is practically mandatory because it keeps the people in line patient.
Mind Your Customers
Remember that your customers affect each other, so be careful where you seat them. For example, do not seat punk rockers next to impatient people like the businesswoman or people who are sensitive to noise, like the bookworm. Use the starlet’s glam powers to your advantage by seating her next to customers with low patience, and collect a heart bonus from her if she’s happy when she leaves.
Likewise, the celebrity gives Flo a speed boost if he’s a satisfied customer.
Here’s a full list of the customers:
- Simon the Celebrity - Simon is a popular actor that customers like to have their picture taken with. He gives a speed bonus if he’s happy when he leaves.
- Starla the Starlet - A famous actress who exudes happiness and warmth. She can make the rest of your customers happier just by sitting next to them!
- Rosie the Regular - The Regular ladies never hurry or dally. They can also tolerate a little noise if they must.
- Colin the Cell Phone Guy - Colin the Cell Phone Guy irritates everyone around him with his incessant noise. He should be served quickly or seated near customers who don’t mind the loudness.
- Barb the Business Woman - Barb the Business Woman is always on the go. Serve her quickly and do not stick her next to noisy customers.
- Sammy the Student - The young Student loves sweets and doesn’t mind noise at all.
- Seymour the Senior - Seymour the Senior really likes to take his time, is very patient, and doesn’t mind a little noise.
- Bernie the Bookworm - The Bookworm is always reading so he doesn’t mind waiting but finds noise very distracting.
- Bill Bucks - Bill Bucks is dressed up as a dollar bill mascot for Mr. Big’s theme park – he has a lot of patience, likes to order seconds, and tips well, but other customers don’t like sitting next to him.

I love all the DASH games and this one is a keeper. I was surprised at the level of difficulty right off the bat but took the challenge and made all the levels. Not all in expert but will keep trying!! Hope you come out with more of these games and maybe some more for the Home Town Hero Gourmet, I am really tired of the Hidden Object style and will play the demo but don’t buy, usually bored with it after an hour.

I loved the graphics are beautiful and very important, but I am old ? 53, and it way to difficult, but I wishI could play and buy it ? Time Management games make me nervous, hence buying all the Choclatier Games….ever think of putting out…..one for us old folk ? With EASY TIME Management, sometimes I just want to play, and cook like Flo, but I dont need MORE STRESS….just like playing it….
I thought to buy it today, but I can see above…..if these fast kids find it hard, I dont stand a chance..? any change you could sell it with a EASY…OR NON TIMED VERSION….I BOUGHT, just as LONG AS you are having fun ? what is the difference. I have Wedding Dash I bought, stuffed in the dead pile…I got stuck on a level…and I am tired of trying to bang my old head against the wall ? I just want to enjoy, the graphics, cooking, just dont give medals for non-timed event…or I will just keep playing my Choclate Games….forever I love so much, needs more think time…..beautiful graphics and relaxing otherwise, I have to go buy Spa Mania….which is relaxing and bought for my iPHONE ?

I enjoyed the first few sites, but then it gets too busy and too hard, even with trying to chain. Chaining doesn’t always work, because you get full up with slower customers and the the businesswomen come in and you haven’t got the music or coffee upgrades, so you loose them and your points.

Hi expert level cooking dash thrills and spills is too hard at level 27. You jump from trying to get 12500 points to 19000!!! Why the sudden jump and no progression? Very annoying. At least publish a walkthrough, so as we can get to the next level.

April 27th, 2011 - 11:54
I got all the way to expert level 41 and now it’s like almost impossible. How do they expect me to pay with expert with have to have live 9000 and no dish flip or radio. Almost impossible!!! If I don’t lose my customers I am lucky. clearing the tables take too long in this level.
April 30th, 2011 - 18:25

This game rocks but It can get hard!! I play for about once a day but I usually get frustrated at the game when the people start leaving so I usually quit. But I think the most important upgrade to get it the the dishes. It let’s Flo throw the dirty dishes into the sink without walking over. The most important tip I noticed is before the big rush comes fill up drinks, tell grandma to start making her food and just do anything else you can think of to help. I not quite sure cause I’m only one level 20. But basically you have to be fast with your fingers. Hope this helps people trying to finish the level or game. Have fun playing!
